Some Guidance for Painting Mud Flaps: Flood paint the entire front face (with something like Humbrol enamel). Allow to almost dry, wet a piece of clean card or paper with white spirit, lay the flap face down on the damp card and rub in a circle to remove excess paint from the full thickness areas. This leaves a bright steel edge frame and highlighted name.
